Private Equity
Our approach
Lazard Frères Gestion offers its clients several complementary strategies for investing in the private equity segment.
Our in-house expertise lies in selecting private equity funds by identifying the best managers in the unlisted sector, both in Europe and the United States. We focus on the LBO and secondary segments. Our private clients thus have access to funds that are usually reserved for institutional clients, while benefiting from our active ESG policy.
At the same time, since 2024 we have developed a strategic partnership with Elaia, a company that has specialized in private equity investment for nearly 25 years. This partnership has led to the launch of a joint venture, Lazard Elaia Capital, dedicated to investing in unlisted deep tech companies.
Invest in non-listed
Lazard Private Equity Selection I presents risks detailed in the prospectus, the 3 main ones being:
Liquidity risk
A fund with a long-term horizon is a “closed” fund, i.e. no liquidity is guaranteed until the fund is liquidated.
Equity investment risk
The valuation of companies held by the fund may rise or fall significantly, with a negative impact on the fund's value.
Risk of capital loss
The investor's capital is not guaranteed, and is therefore subject to the risk of total or partial loss.

Elaia Partners
In 2024, Lazard Frères Gestion formed a partnership with Elaia Partners by acquiring a stake in the company. Elaia specializes in private equity investments with a strong technological focus. The company invests in companies that share the common trait of being high-potential “disruptors” with an innovative approach in their respective fields: digital/software, healthcare, or industry. Founded 25 years ago, Elaia has launched several private equity funds over the years, investing directly in the capital of selected companies.
Lazard Elaia Capital
To complement our Lazard Private Equity Sélection offering, in 2024 we created a joint venture, Lazard Elaia Capital, specializing in investments in unlisted European B2B tech companies.
